From the cellar
Vigne Vecchie was born in 1987 from the decision to keep the best old Barbera vineyards instead of replanting them. The grapes from vines at least 50 years old are picked by hand after careful selection. The wine is aged for about 16 months in French barriques and 500-litre tonneaux, followed by a month in concrete and 18 months in bottle.
Tasting note
Intense ruby red with violet reflections. Complex aromas of preserved fruit, violet, vanilla, discreet oak, liquorice, eucalyptus and dried fruit. Warm and full-bodied, yet fresh.
