From the cellar
In the good years only the best grapes are picked by hand with great care, chilled at once and gently pressed. Malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided, to keep the wine crisp. The Chardonnay is then raised for ten months in French oak barriques and a further twelve months in bottle.
Tasting note
Modelled on its Burgundian examples: structure, vitality, an abundance of citrus and apple, elegant oak and a creamy texture. Young, its power and the play between freshness and softness please; with age it finds a beautiful balance.
